  1. A painting of him was given to the collection of Astley Hall, Chorley, Lancashire in December 1920 in remembrance of his period as an assistant priest at St Mary's Chorley December 1915 - January 1916. We'd really like to hear from family or researchers who could add to the context of this painting. We have some of his correspondence from East Africa printed in the editions of 'St Mary's Messenger' 1916-1918 which give a fascinating insight into his wartime chaplaincy.
